Abstract
Disclosed are a transmission or reception method and apparatus based on a ranging round information element in an ultra-wideband wireless network system. A method performed by a first device in an ultra-wideband (UWB) wireless network system, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, may comprise the steps of: receiving a first ranging round information element (RR IE) from a second device; and performing a ranging procedure in a ranging round indicated by the first RR IE. In a hyper-block mode, a ranging block index field of the first RR IE may be assumed to specify a hyper-block index for a ranging hyper-block, and the ranging block index may be assumed to be the same as a previous hyper-block.
