Abstract

Provided are a method and apparatus for recognizing a functionality of an artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) model. A terminal acquires functionality information associated with AI/ML and, based on the acquired functionality information, determines a functionality corresponding to at least one model. Then, the terminal transmits to a base station a first message including information indicating at least one of a capability and a condition for the determined functionality, and receives a second message from the base station in response to the transmitted first message.
