Abstract

This application discloses an information reporting method and apparatus, a terminal, and a network-side device, belonging to the field of communication technologies. The information reporting method of embodiments of this application includes: determining, by a terminal, target statistical data based on a remaining time of a discard timer corresponding to to-be-transmitted data, where the to-be-transmitted data is data that is to be transmitted by the terminal to a network-side device; and sending, by the terminal, first indication information to the network-side device, where the first indication information is used to indicate a data volume of the target statistical data.
