Abstract

PROBLEM: To further improve user convenience while ensuring the correctness of authentication performed using biometric information. SOLUTION: An aerosol-generating device comprising: a biosensor for acquiring biometric information of a user; a communication unit for sending the biometric information to a server and for receiving, from the server, association information indicating that the biometric information which was sent is associated with personal information of the user stored in the server; an authentication unit for authenticating the user by matching the biometric information of the user authenticated by the association information with the biometric information acquired by the biosensor; and a device control unit for unlocking an aerosol-generating function when the user has been successfully authenticated.
