Abstract

Disclosed herein is a ceramide mixture. In an aspect, the ceramide mixture of the present invention can effectively improve the compatibility and solubility of ceramide. In another aspect, the microparticles comprising the ceramide mixture of the present invention can have a skin barrier component composition having a structure closer to normal skin due to increased structural uniformity and increased long periodicity phase (LPP) and orthorhombic structure compared to the case of simply mixing skin barrier components, and allows for the minimal use of formulation raw materials that may cause side effects, such as solvents, surfactants, dissolution aids, and the like. Moreover, the skin barrier components within the particles are protected by a coating agent, reducing interactions with external components. In another aspect, when applied to an oil-in-water emulsion, the ceramide mixture composition helps the formation of liquid crystals compared to the use of ceramide alone, and thus it is expected to improve sensory properties and moisturizing effects, which are advantages due to the formation of liquid crystals.
