Abstract

The present disclosure is a shape retaining device (10) that prevents blockage of a distal end portion of a catheter body (14). The shape retaining device (10) includes: a tube (40) in which at least a distal end region including an inlet (42) is harder than a distal end portion of a catheter body (14); and a support member (50) that is fittable to a catheter hub (16), includes a fitting portion (56) communicating with the catheter hub (16) in a state of being fitted to the catheter hub (16), and supports the tube (40) so as to be displaceable with respect to the fitting portion (56).
