Abstract
The present invention provides a heterojunction photocatalyst exhibiting higher catalytic activity and a superior degree of freedom in molecular design than that of a conventional heterojunction photocatalyst. A heterojunction photocatalyst including a solid state mediator between a hydrogen-evolution photocatalyst containing an organic semiconductor and an oxygen-evolution photocatalyst, in which the hydrogen-evolution photocatalyst and the solid state mediator are joined, and the oxygen-evolution photocatalyst and the solid state mediator are joined.
