Abstract

The present invention more appropriately irradiates a medium with ultraviolet rays. A printing device 10 uses an ultraviolet curable ink to perform printing on a three-dimensional medium 50 held by a holding jig 40 which is a holding member. The printing device 10 includes an inkjet head 102, a sub-scanning drive part 18, and a control part 30. The holding jig 40 includes a rotation mechanism, an ultraviolet irradiator, and a cover. The control part 30 causes the inkjet head 102 to perform a main scanning operation by causing the inkjet head 102 to discharge the ink while causing the rotation mechanism to rotate the medium 50 and causes the inkjet head to perform a sub-scanning operation within a range such that the position of a nozzle row in the sub-scanning direction remains within an opposing position medium range when the range from one end to the other end of the medium 50 in the sub-scanning direction at a position opposing the nozzle row is defined as the opposing position medium range.
