Abstract

The user is allowed to appropriately set a feed direction and an image rotation angle at the time of IPP printing. A printing apparatus which receives, from a client terminal, a print job in a format in accordance with IPP (Internet Printing Protocol) and which performs printing based on the received print job, the printing apparatus having: a communication unit configured to communicate with the client terminal; a control unit configured to cause a display unit to display a first guide screen presenting a possible combination of feed directions and rotation angles of an image for the printing, where the combination can be established under a sheet size of a sheet set in a feeding mechanism; and a generation unit configured to generate first information indicating a determined combination which is presented in the first guide screen, wherein the communication unit transmits, in response to a request from the client terminal, the first information generated by the generation unit.
