Abstract
A method comprising using at least one hardware processor to: crop a check image using edges of the check in the image; detect semantic elements on the images of the check; use keypoints as the locations obtained from these "stable" regions; match the keypoints of the test check to the keypoints of the reference check by semantic; use obtained homography to further obtain more matching keypoint pairs for ambiguous cases when multiple instances of a given semantic field are found; when the homography is not degenerated, then use the obtained homography to unwarp the reference or the test image to match the same positions for image comparison or to transform the coordinates from reference to test image for a precise comparison and fraud detection; and when the homography is degenerated, then the compute homography to match the check corners, then use the computed homography to unwarp the reference or the test image to match the same positions for image comparison or to transform the coordinates from reference to test image for a precise comparison and fraud detection.
