Abstract

A person authentication program is a person authentication program for causing a computer to execute a process, the computer being connected to a first camera for capturing an image of one or more persons present in a monitoring target area as a whole and a second camera for capturing an image of a head of a person when the person is individually authenticated at an entrance of the monitoring target area, the process including: selecting a specific head image satisfying a condition from among head images representing the head of the person appearing in the image captured by the first camera when the person is recognized as being in front of the second camera; comparing the specific head image with the image captured by the second camera; and associating an identifier obtained as an authentication result with a specific person corresponding to the specific head image for which a degree of similarity equal to or greater than a threshold degree of similarity is calculated.
