Abstract

The present invention relates to a positive electrode comprising a current collector, and a positive electrode active material layer disposed on the current collector, wherein the positive electrode active material layer comprises a positive electrode active material, a conductive agent, and a binder, the positive electrode active material comprises a lithium iron phosphate-based compound, the conductive agent comprises carbon black, the conductive agent has a BET specific surface area of 200 m<sup>2</sup>/g to 400 m<sup>2</sup>/g, and a value of R<sub>1</sub> represented by Equation 1 below is 180 to 500, and a lithium secondary battery comprising the same. R<sub>1</sub> = {[Average particle diameter (D<sub>50</sub>) value of positive electrode active material] x [BET specific surface area value of conductive agent]} / [Average particle diameter (D<sub>50</sub>) value of conductive agent]<sup>2</sup>In Equation 1, the average particle diameter (D<sub>50</sub>) value (µm) of positive electrode active material, the BET specific surface area value (m<sup>2</sup>/g) of conductive agent, and the average particle diameter (D<sub>50</sub>) value (µm) of conductive agent are dimensionless numbers with the units omitted.
