Abstract
Disclosed are a negative electrode active material, and a negative electrode and a secondary battery including the same, and an exemplary embodiment of the present invention provides a negative electrode active material including: a silicon-based active material; and a coating layer provided on the silicon-based active material, wherein the silicon-based active material includes one or more selected from the group consisting of Si, SiO<sub>x</sub> (0 < x < 2), and Si/C, the coating layer is a negative electrode active material including a metal oxide, a content of the metal oxide is 10 parts by weight or more and 30 parts by weight or less based on 100 parts by weight of the negative electrode active material, and an average thickness of the coating layer is 0.01 µm or more and 5 µm or less.
