Abstract

The present application applies to the field of batteries, and provides an electrode assembly, a battery cell, a battery, and a power consuming apparatus. An electrode assembly (100) includes a first electrode plate (10) and a separator (20). The separator (20) includes two separator layers (21) formed by folding, and the two separator layers (21) cover two opposite ends of the first electrode plate (10) in a thickness direction thereof, respectively. The separator layer (21) is provided with a first edge portion (211) extending beyond an end portion of the first electrode plate (10) in a width direction of the first electrode plate (10). The first edge portion (211) is opposite to a folded end of the separator (20). The first edge portions (211) of the two separator layers (21) are connected to each other and form a first joint portion (22). The electrode assembly provided in the embodiments of the present application can resolve the problem that a separator is folded over, and consequently a short circuit between adjacent electrode plates is caused.
