Abstract

Provided are a method and device for processing ambient Internet of Things (IoT) data in a wireless communication system. The device receives a paging message including first device identification information, and checks whether the first device identification information matches second device identification information stored in the device. Further, based on a result of the checking, the device transmits a medium access control (MAC) message including upper layer data, wherein the paging message includes a first security parameter and information indicating presence of the first security parameter.
