Abstract

A heater assembly according to an embodiment includes an oscillator that generates microwaves in a designated frequency band, and a resonator that receives the generated microwaves from the oscillator through a coupler and generates an electric field by resonating the received microwaves, wherein the resonator may include an outer conductor including a first surface, a second surface facing the first surface, and a side surface surrounding an internal space between the first surface and the second surface, and including a housing space for accommodating an aerosol-generating article, a first internal conductor extending from the first surface toward the internal space and surrounding one region of the aerosol-generating article accommodated in the housing space, a first airflow passage connecting an exterior of the resonator to the housing space, and a second airflow passage connecting the exterior of the resonator to an interior of the resonator.
