Abstract
A process for stripping a coating from a painted substrate comprising at least a base substrate and a paint layer, wherein the base substrate comprises a thermoplastic olefin is provided. The method comprises the steps of splitting the painted substrate into sections (4) having a longitudinal shape with a length (I) and a width (w), wherein the length (I) is larger than the width (w), flattening the section and mechanically stripping the paint layer at a temperature below the melting point of the base substrate.
