Abstract

This image forming device comprises a head unit, and a control unit that performs a first operation and a second operation. When the number of the first operation is n (an integer equal to or greater than 2) times and the second operation of m × n times, moving in one direction to one side in a second direction, with respect to each pixel row formation region obtained by dividing a nozzle pitch corresponding region into m (an integer equal to or greater than 1) regions in the second direction, is performed, the control unit prohibits the discharge of the ink in at least one nozzle from an end portion side of the head unit in at least one first operation.
