Abstract
Provided are an inkjet head, an ink discharge method, and an inkjet recording apparatus, which enable discharging of ink having a high viscosity in a more easy and stable manner. This inkjet head comprises a nozzle (N), a pressure chamber (C) that is in communication with the nozzle (N), and a pressure application part (E) that applies pressure fluctuations to ink within the pressure chamber (C). The inkjet head has a structure that has a breakup Q factor, which is expressed as πfpφ<2> /(8η) using a nozzle diameter φ and a resonance frequency f with respect to the ink, of 0.37 or more, when the ink protruding out of the nozzle (N) upon receiving the pressure fluctuations by the pressure application part (E) has a viscosity η of 100 mPa·s and a density ρ of 1080 kg·m<-3>.
