Abstract

A system (300) comprising: a coupling (200) configured to connect to a first unit (120) of a vehicle combination (100) at a first end (240) and to a second unit (140) of the vehicle combination (100) at a second end (250), the coupling (200) comprising: a first strut (210) and a second strut (220) extending between the first and second ends (240, 250) of the coupling (200) and disposed at an angle (α) to each other, and a respective actuator (210c, 220c) provided on each of the first and second struts (210, 220), each actuator (210c, 220c) configured to adjust the length of the respective strut (210, 220); and processing circuitry (155, 175, 275, 602) configured to determine a control input for adjusting the length of at least one of the first and the second struts (210, 220) using the respective actuator (210c, 220c) to adjust a force (F) acting on the coupling (200).
