Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for producing glass that includes: obtaining a mixture comprising a glass powder containing at least one heavy metal oxide selected from Sb<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>, PbO, and As<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>, a reducing agent, and a liquid medium, where the reducing agent is dissolved in the liquid medium; and heating the mixture at a temperature of 700°C or higher.
