Abstract
Subject of the invention is a waterbased topcoat composition comprising at least one anionic polyurethane dispersion, at least one hydroxyl group-containing polyvinyl butyral polymer and at least one polyisocyanate, whereby the weight ratio between the solids content of the polyurethane dispersion and the polyvinyl butyral polymer is 25/75 to 80/20, and the molar NCO/OH ratio is 0.4/1 to 1.5/1.The inventive composition is highly suitable as topcoat on a basecoat, preferably a polyurethane basecoats, with durable interlayer adhesion after prolonged water exposure, thereby providing a waterproofing system particularly suitable for low slope roofs.
