Abstract

The invention relates to a control system (81) for a hydraulic system (64) for moving a tool (28, 71). The control system (81) comprises a joystick (58) and an electronic controller (62). The joystick (58) includes a joystick handle (134) configured to be manipulated by an operator (22) for indicating desired movements of the tool (28, 71). The joystick (58) includes joystick sensors (146) for sensing movements of the joystick handle (134). The joystick (58) is configured to provide the control signals (60) to the electronic controller (62) based on the movements of the joystick handle (134). In order to facilitate precise control for the operator (22), the electronic controller (62) and the joystick (58) are operable to provide feedback to the joystick handle (134) should there be an increase in hydraulic pressure sensed in the hydraulic system related to the tool (28, 71). An assembly (80) including the control system (80) and a method are also disclosed.
