Abstract

A harmonic speed reducer (1) comprises a casing (2), an internal support (9) housed within the casing (2) and rotatably driven around a rotation axis (10), idle pulleys (11) connected to rotate at opposite ends of the internal support (2), toothed belt elements (13) tensioned by the idle pulleys (11), an output pulley (14) housed in the internal support (9) and coaxial with the rotation axis (10), wherein the output pulley (14) is rotatable relative to the internal support (9) and the casing (2), a fixed pulley (15) secured within the casing (2) and coaxial with the output pulley (14), with both engaged by the toothed belt elements (13), wherein the output pulley (14) includes a shaft (16) coaxial with the rotation axis (10) and extending through the fixed pulley (15), and wherein the output pulley (14) has a number N₁ of teeth different from a number N₂ of teeth of the fixed pulley (15), such that, upon rotating the internal support (9) at a speed Vi, the output pulley (14) rotates at a different speed V₂ from speed Vi.
