Abstract

A compact heat exchanger assembly for a refrigeration system includes a heat rejection heat exchanger assembly (22) and a heat absorption heat exchanger assembly (24). The heat rejection heat exchanger assembly (22) includes a primary heat exchanger (50) and a secondary heat exchanger (52). The primary heat exchanger (50) has a tube bank (60, 62; 120, 122) extending between a first manifold (70; 130) and a second manifold (72; 132). The tube bank (60, 62; 120, 122) being provided with at least one bend (124) such that the primary heat exchanger (50) has a generally curvilinear shape. The secondary heat exchanger (52) is disposed between the first manifold (130) and the second manifold (132).
