Abstract
Good electrical contact can be easily ensured while an electrode made of a metal different from thallium is used. A radiation detector 1 includes a crystal 2 whose main component is thallium bromide and electrodes 3 and 4 which are in contact with the crystal 2 to sandwich the crystal 2 in an X direction and are made of a metal different from thallium. At least one of strontium, lead, thallium, and bromine is doped in a portion where the crystal 2 is in contact with each of the electrodes 3 and 4.
