Abstract

An energy storage device (ESD) (240A) system includes a battery module (310) that includes individual cases (320). Each of the individual cases includes a battery cell (326). The ESD system (240A) further includes an ESD pump (340) and a battery management system (BMS) (330). The ESD pump (340) is operable to flow immersion fluid into, through, and out of the battery module (310) and the individual cases (320). The BMS (330) is operable to make a determination that a status of the battery cell (326) is out-of-range, and, responsive to the determination that the status of the battery cell (326) is out-of-range, control operations of the ESD pump (340).
