Abstract
A battery cell according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: an electrode assembly; a battery case for accommodating the electrode assembly; and a cap assembly disposed on an upper portion of the battery case and comprising a top cap; wherein the top cap comprises a return portion that is bent from an edge of the top cap and extends toward the center of the top cap. The battery cell and battery pack according to the present invention have the effect of enhanced impact resistance against external impact (crush).
