Abstract
A pole terminal for an electrical socket for receiving a contact pin of a plug comprising a terminal base for connecting a conductor, and two resilient contacting arms forming an insertion opening configured to receive the contact pin such that the two resilient socket arms are deflected outward in a spring-loaded manner upon insertion, wherein the terminal base comprises an arrangement of protrusions configured to interface with an external wire terminal element such that connection joints are kept aligned when the contact pin is inserted into the insertion opening.
