Abstract

An Ethernet power source equipment (PSE) is coupled to a load device (200), and the Ethernet PSE includes a power supply device (1), an output control circuit (4), a path control circuit (20), and a control module (22). When the output control circuit (4) detects that the load device (200) is not coupled to an output terminal (100-3) of the Ethernet PSE, the path control circuit (20) disconnects a power supplying path (Lp) between the output terminal (100-3) to the control module (22), and the output control circuit (4) adjusts an output voltage (Vo) to a first voltage (Vo1) so that the control module (22) enters a disabled state. When the output control circuit (4) detects that the load device (200) is coupled to the output terminal (100-3), the path control circuit (20) short-circuits the power supplying path (Lp), and the output control circuit (4) adjusts the output voltage (Vo) to a second voltage (Vo2) so that the control module (22) enters an enabled state.
