Abstract

This application relates to the field of software engineering design technologies, and specifically, to a download method, a communication system, a device, a readable medium, and a program product. In the method, in a release phase of a resource like an application, when application description information and an application entity are released on a server for an area to which a specified service location belongs, the application description information is also synchronously released on servers for a plurality of areas. In this way, when a user searches for a resource like an application in an application market or the like on a user equipment, the user equipment can find, without an obstacle, the application description information released on the server for each area, and provide an application search result for the user based on the found application description information. In addition, the user equipment may further switch a use location to a service location at which the found application is correspondingly released, and obtain a related application entity resource for installation and use. This helps improve user experience in searching for and downloading applications in the application market.
