Abstract
A toothpaste dispensing system receives toothpaste from a toothpaste reservoir as an advancing toothpaste cylinder. The cylinder passes to a space between a pair of counter-rotating rollers such that the pair of rollers flatten the advancing toothpaste cylinder. An outlet delivers the flattened toothpaste cylinder. This enables a smaller amount of toothpaste to be delivered locally, so that a desired amount of toothpaste may be applied to a larger area such as a brushing mouthpiece.
