Abstract
Provided is a technique capable of automatically setting an irradiation range such that an effective image receiving surface of an FPD can be utilized to a maximum extent, regardless of a size of the FPD.An X-ray imaging apparatus includes: an X-ray irradiation unit (10) including an X-ray tube (12) and an X-ray collimator (13); an imaging table (20) provided with an accommodating portion that accommodates an X-ray detector (40); and a processor (70) configured to control the X-ray irradiation unit (10), in which the processor (70) has an aperture automatic control function of detecting a size of the X-ray detector (40) and a distance between the X-ray tube (12) and the X-ray detector (40) and automatically adjusting an aperture of the X-ray collimator (13) in accordance with the size of the X-ray detector (40) based on a detection result.
