Abstract

There is provided a light-based skin treatment device, comprising a light source, a treatment window, and a device movement guide. The light source is adapted to generate treatment light. The treatment window is adapted to expose a first treatment area of a skin with treatment light when the device is in a first exposure position, and to expose a second treatment area of the skin with treatment light when the device is in a second exposure position. The device movement guide is adapted to guide a user to move the device along the skin in a movement direction from the first exposure position to the second exposure position. A distance between the first exposure position and the second exposure position in the movement direction is more than 100% and less than 120% of a width of the treatment window. The device movement guide is configured to generate a treatment signal when the device is in the first exposure position and when the device is in the second exposure position.
