Abstract

A method includes additively manufacturing a first portion of the ceramic mold (100). The main body (162) of the core structure (104) defines a plurality of main body apertures (166). The method further includes additively manufacturing a second portion of the ceramic mold (100) that includes a tip cap (164) of the core structure (104). The tip cap (164) of the core structure (104) defines a plurality of tip cap apertures (168). The method further includes firing the first portion and the second portion of the ceramic mold (100). The method further includes, after firing the first portion and the second portion of the ceramic mold (100), connecting the first portion and the second portion by inserting each pin (108) of a plurality of pins (108) into a respective main body aperture (166) of the plurality of main body apertures (166) and a respective tip cap aperture (168) of the plurality of tip cap apertures (168).
