Abstract

To enable efficient charging to be performed on a battery in low-temperature state a thermal management system S is described including a first circuit 100 that includes an electric heater 101 and performs temperature adjustment of a battery B, a second circuit 200 that performs temperature adjustment of a drive device E, and a control unit 600. The control unit 600 determines whether the temperature of the battery B is equal to or lower than a first temperature, executes first heating control that heats a heating medium in the first circuit using the electric heater 101 when it is determined that the temperature of the battery B is equal to or lower than the first temperature, and subsequently, when the temperature of the battery B becomes higher than the first temperature, connects the first circuit 100 and the second circuit 200 and executes second heating control that heats the heating medium using waste heat of the drive device E.
