Abstract
An electric boat propulsion device includes a cylindrical duct; a propeller rotatably supported inside the duct, the propeller having blades arranged around a propeller axis extending along a central axis of the duct, and a cylindrical rim surrounding the blades; and an electric motor that rotates the propeller relative to the duct, the electric motor having a stator provided on the duct and a rotor provided on the rim. The duct has an accommodation space, and an inner wall constituting the accommodation space includes a conductive wall. The electric boat propulsion device further includes a circuit board including a contact region that contacts the conductive wall and a non-contact region separated from the conductive wall, the circuit board having a detection sensor that outputs a signal corresponding to a rotation angle of the rotor, and a circuit pattern formed in the non-contact region so as to avoid the contact region.
