Abstract

The present disclosure provides a method for producing non melt-processible polytetrafluoroethylene, the method comprising suspension-polymerizing tetrafluoroethylene in the presence of a polymerization initiator and an aqueous medium in a reactor to prepare a composition containing the aqueous medium and the non melt-processible polytetrafluoroethylene, wherein after a polymerization terminator is fed to the reactor, or after the tetrafluoroethylene remaining in the reactor is removed from the reactor, a polymerization inhibitor for inhibiting polymerization of residual radicals is fed to the reactor.
