Abstract
A heterophasic propylene copolymer composition and a process for producing the same are disclosed. The heterophasic propylene copolymer composition comprises: (a) from 74 to 93 wt% of a propylene polymer matrix comprising: either a propylene homopolymer; or a propylene copolymer comprising less than 0.5 wt% of a comonomer based on the total weight of the propylene polymer matrix; and (b) from 7 to 26 wt% of a propylene ethylene copolymer dispersed in the propylene polymer matrix. The heterophasic propylene copolymer composition has an analytical temperature rising elution fractionation, ATREF, peak temperature (T3) lower than or equal to 117.0°C, the ATREF peak temperature (T3) being determined by a CRYSTAF-TREF instrument, comprises an ethylene content in the range of from 4.0 to 17 wt% based on the total weight of the heterophasic propylene copolymer composition, the ethylene content being determined by Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, and has a xylene soluble content, XS, in a range of from 9 to 22 wt%, as determined according to ISO 16152:2022.
