Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for operating a blast furnace, which includes preparing an iron-containing material (M) and coke (C) as charging materials to be charged into a blast furnace, determining charging amounts of iron-containing material (M) and coke (C) according to an amount of reduced iron-containing material contained in the iron-containing material (M), wherein a charging ratio (M/C) of the iron-containing material (M) and the coke (C) is greater than a predetermined reference charging ratio (Ms/Cs), charging the charging materials into the blast furnace according to the determined charging amounts, and manufacturing molten iron from the charging materials, and an apparatus for operating a blast furnace, to which the method is applied, and thus, the method for operating the blast furnace and the apparatus for operating the blast furnace, which are capable of improving operation efficiency, are disclosed.
