Abstract

There is provided a sliding component that can prevent a sliding ring from falling off. A sliding component U that is disposed at a relative rotation position between a housing 4 and a shaft 1 inserted into the housing 4 includes a sliding ring 10, a sleeve 11 that includes a support piece 11a for supporting the sliding ring 10 in a radial direction, a biasing member 13 that biases the sliding ring 10 to one side in an axial direction, and holding member 15 that is fixed to the sleeve 11 and holds the biasing member 13 in a state in which the biasing member 13 is contracted in the axial direction.
