Abstract

An object of the present invention is to provide an automatic analyzer capable of shortening a measurement time when a sample is whole blood. The automatic analyzer of the present invention includes: a reaction disk which is rotated and stopped once per cycle; a sample dispensing mechanism configured to dispense a sample into reaction containers arranged on the reaction disk; and a control unit, and the control unit is configured to control the dispensing of the sample to be performed every two cycles when the sample is blood cells, and control the dispensing of the sample to be performed every cycle when the sample is whole blood. Alternatively, the automatic analyzer of the present invention includes: a reaction disk which is rotated and stopped once per cycle; a sample dispensing mechanism configured to dispense a sample into reaction containers arranged on the reaction disk; and a control unit, and the control unit is configured to control the dispensing of the sample to be performed every two cycles when the sample is blood cells, and control the dispensing of the sample to be performed every cycle if a predetermined condition is satisfied, and control the dispensing of the sample to be performed every two cycles if the predetermined condition is not satisfied, when the sample is whole blood.
