Abstract
A battery monitoring device (201) includes: a signal generator that generates a control signal for controlling a first measurement circuit (1z) connected to a first assembled battery (1) and a second measurement circuit (2z) connected to a second assembled battery (2), the first assembled battery (1) and the second assembled battery (2) being obtained by dividing a plurality of batteries connected in series; and an impedance calculator (15) that calculates alternating current (AC) impedance of each of the plurality of batteries, based on (i) the measured current value of current flowing through the first measurement circuit (1z) and the measured voltage value of each battery included in the first assembled battery (1) and (ii) the measured current value of current flowing through the second measurement circuit (2z) and the measured voltage value of each battery included in the second assembled battery (2). The first measurement circuit (1z) includes a first switch. The second measurement circuit (2z) includes a second switch. The signal generator generates the control signal for turning on the first switch and the second switch in a mutually exclusive manner.
