Abstract
The invention relates to a method for determining the collision probability (p) of a vehicle (ego) with an object (VRU), in particular with a moving object, in which it is checked whether an object (VRU) is located within a detection range (4) of a sensor system (3) of the vehicle (ego), and if this is determined at a detection time (t<sub>0</sub>), then vehicle parameters characterizing a position and/or a movement of the vehicle (ego) are detected in relation to a vehicle coordinate system (X, Y) and object parameters characterizing an object class and/or a position and/or a movement of the object (VRU) including a lateral position (dy (t<sub>0</sub>)) of the object (VRU) relative to the vehicle (EGO) are detected in relation to the vehicle coordinate system (X, Y), and a collision check is performed at least on the basis of the detected vehicle parameters and the detected object parameters to determine whether a collision of the vehicle (EGO) is to be expected, and if it is determined during the collision check that a collision is to be expected, then the collision probability (p) of the vehicle (ego) with the object (VRU) is determined on the basis of a location probability (p<sub>Kollision,Rayleigh</sub>(t<sub>ttc</sub>)) of the object within a drive tube (7) of the vehicle, where the location probability (P<sub>Kollision,Rayleigh</sub>(t<sub>ttc</sub>)) is determined on the basis of a Rayleighfunction (P<sub>Rayleigh</sub>)<sub>.</sub>
