Abstract
Some example embodiments provide a negative electrode including a negative electrode current collector; a negative electrode active material layer on the negative electrode current collector and including a negative electrode active material; and an edge portion on the negative electrode current collector and provided at an edge of the negative electrode active material layer, wherein the edge portion includes metal particles that form an alloy with lithium.
