Abstract
Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for multiple transform set selection (MTSS) for spatial geographic partition mode (SGPM). A device for video decoding/encoding may include a processor. The device may be configured to obtain a plurality of candidate intra prediction modes for a video block. The device may determine whether a partition direction associated with a SGPM or an intra prediction mode of the plurality of candidate intra prediction modes is to be used to obtain a first transform set associated with the video block. The device may obtain a second transform set associated with the video block based on the determination of whether the partition direction or the intra prediction mode is to be used to obtain the first transform set. The device may decode/encode the video block using the first and second transform sets.
