Abstract
An image decoding method and device according to the present disclosure may divide a current block into a plurality of sub-blocks on the basis of one of the pre-defined types of block divisions, and decode the plurality of sub-blocks on the basis of a predetermined decoding order. Here, the decoding order may be determined on the basis of one of one or more scan order candidates, and the one or more scan order candidates may include at least one of a horizontal Z scan order and a vertical Z scan order.
