Abstract

The image display apparatus of the present disclosure includes: a display; a signal processing device; a relay to switch an input AC voltage; a converter connected in parallel to a first end of the relay; a controller to operate based on DC voltage from the converter; and a switch disposed between the converter and the signal processing device, and to operate based on a control signal output, wherein in first standby mode, a voltage of a first level is supplied to the controller based on off states of the relay and the switch, and operation of the converter, and in second standby mode, a voltage of a second level greater than the first level is supplied to the signal processing device based on off state of the relay, and operations of the switch and the converter. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce power consumption in the standby mode.
