Abstract

A method, as well as a corresponding configuration program (10), a server program dataset (B), a computer-readable data carrier (11, 12, 13), a user device (5), and a server device (3) are provided, wherein for configuring a server device (3), in particular a security server providing a secure location for handling user profile datasets (P) adapted to be stored on a secure element (6), such as an eUICC, of a user device (5) associated to a user (U) and configured to identify the respective user (U) to allow participation in mobile telecommunication networks (N), the method comprises the steps of providing a database (D) containing an administered set (M) of user profile datasets (P); performing a database scan with the server device (3) to identify a subset (V) of unused profile dataset (Q) of the administered set (M) of user profiles dataset (P); and adding at least one of the unused profile datasets (Q) and/or a profile identifier (I) thereof to a deletion list (L) of unused profile datasets (Q) to be potentially deleted.
