Abstract
An air cart comprising: a plurality of primary chutes (108, 308); a plurality of metering devices (116, 316) each coupled to a corresponding primary chute and configured to deposit seed at a metering rate at a location between the corresponding primary chute's first end (110, 310) and second end (112, 312), wherein the metering rate of each metering device is individually configurable; one or more blowers (102, 302) configured to produce a plurality of airstreams within the plurality of primary chutes, such that each of the plurality of primary chutes has an air flow rate; and a controller (118, 318) configured to receive the metering rate of each metering device and individually control each air flow rate of the plurality of primary chutes based on the metering rate of the corresponding metering device. Furthermore, a method for depositing seeds using such air cart is disclosed.
